A warm welcome is extended to Dr Louise Ritchie, who some of you may know from the work she was doing on alcohol use by older people and for the employment and dementia project which she is currently completing. Louise starts in her new role this week as Lecturer Dementia (Research).
Louise has a background in Psychology and has previously been involved in research examining the impact of the physical environment in healthcare, including the design of dementia care homes and psychiatric hospitals. Her most recent work while she was a Research Fellow has been widely reported. This is from the ‘Herald’ back in March http://www.heraldscotland.com/news/13205765.The_hidden_misery_of_thousands_of_Scots_at_work_and_struggling_to_cope_with_dementia/
I am sure we would like to all wish Louise every success in her new role.
