Colleagues can “go purple, wear purple, think purple, be purple!” to support UWS charity partner Ayrshire Hospice and on Friday 9th October the University Welcome Team will be coordinating donation points at reception areas on all campuses where collection tins, wristbands and further information on the hospice and the charity will be available.

Collection tins will also be available at some catering till points throughout the day.

Ayrshire Hospice and UWS School of Health Nursing and Midwifery signed a memorandum of understanding, marking the formation of Scotland’s first ever University Hospice in 2013, and UWS is proud to continue with this valued partnership.

The memorandum outlined a commitment by both organisations to combine joint specialist knowledge and research skills to help improve the lives of people with life-limiting illness, their families, partners and carers across Ayrshire & Arran.
