Over 50 Dumfries Campus nursing students, 30 members of staff and 85  senior school pupils from the regional secondary schools took part in the annual UWS ‘Turkey Trot’ (with carol singing) around the Campus last week.

The School pupils were on Campus participating in the UWS Nursing event to gain an insight into nursing programmes and careers. At the same time, they supported West Sound’s Christmas Jumper Day initiative and collected £180.52 for West Sound’s Cash for Kids.

Later that day, colleagues also handed over bags of toys to support Dumfries & Galloway Standard’s Christmas Toy Appeal.  Generous colleagues have also continued to support the First Base Agency Food Bank. Thanks to everyone at the Dumfries Campus for their generous donations and for taking part in the festive celebrations.
