On Wednesday 8th June the University held its 6th Annual UWS STARS Award event at Hamilton Campus, with over 80 guests comprising of shortlisted colleagues, their guests, line managers and the members of the judging panel.
The Staff Appreciation and Recognition Scheme (STARS) is a great opportunity for us to celebrate our achievements and acknowledge those staff who have been chosen by their colleagues or students as people who have gone above and beyond normal expectations. The event was hosted by Dr Waiyin Hatton, Chair of Court, whose warmth and good humour added a great buzz to the occasion.The Principal presented the awards and as you might expect the School of Nursing did very well getting awards for Outstanding Teaching; Outstanding Service to Students, Outstanding Leadership.
