Dementia Friends and Static Cycling

Posted on Updated on

Currently, our Part 3 Adult and MH students on all of our Campuses are preparing and delivering a number of  “Class in a Bag”  health promotion topics to school children across the West of Scotland. In addition to these school activities, other students are encouraging community groups to engage in physical activity using the Fitness Intervention Taskforce (FIT) Resources that are aimed at integrating physical activity into the nursing curriculum to encourage healthy lifestyle changes across the wider community).

In the Caird Building on the 8th. of February a group of third-year students are ‘cycling’ the distance between the 4 UWS Scottish Campus Sites (Some of our academic and administrative staff have promised to “clock” up some of the miles so watch out for their guest appearances.
