Currently, the staff and students at Hamilton Campus are working towards achieving a “Silver” green impact award for Caird Building on Hamilton Campus. Green Impact is an Environmental Accreditation Scheme that Students’ Unions, Universities and Colleges, Local Authorities and other public bodies participate in across the UK.
As part of our commitment to achieving this award can we ask that staff and students try and ensure that all tea, coffee and sugar bought by the School are Fairtrade products.
Fairtrade products guarantee a fixed price for some of the lowest paid farmers in the developing world. There is also a fixed community premium that goes towards community development projects. Visit the the Fairtrade Foundation for more information on all things Fairtrade.
