Handmade Mini-midwives Wanted!

Posted on

Our Midwifery teams drive continues for knitted/crocheted or crafted midwives to be donated to the school.

We are all hoping for a colourful display of midwives whilst celebrating the International Day of the Midwife 2017 on May 5th . Following on from our celebratory event we shall be offering staff and students the opportunity to provide a forever home for one of the midwives for a small donation. All monies raised will be donated to Kicks Count a charity empowering women during pregnancy.

Knitted Midwife 2

We have linked up with Kicks Count who have shared our information on their website, we have been delighted with the interest this has raised and are hoping for a flurry of mini-midwives, like the one shown above to arrive by post soon. We have even had an enquiry from as far away as Australia!

We hope this information has inspired you to join in with our call for donations. If you wish any further information please just get in touch with Sheona.Brown@uws.ac.uk
