Celebrating Mentorship: Inspiring Others

Today, three students from UWS School of Health Nursing & Midwifery presented at NHS Lanarkshire Mentor Conference, which was held at Dalziel Park in Motherwell .

Megan Johnston (mental health pre-reg student), Lesley McBrearty (midwifery pre-reg student) and  Mhairiker Walker (adult nursing pre-reg student) provided an excellent overview of their experience of mentorship, and the positive impact it has had on their learning in the practice setting.

In particular, Megan, Lesley and Mhaiiker highlighted how feedback from mentors was especially helpful in facilitating learning and improving overall confidence.

    Fantastic – well done to the UWS students for presenting, great to have an opportunity for mentors to hear from students and students to hear from mentors 🙂
